| Le sacre d'un Roi et d'une Reine : Helena Bonham Carter & Colin Firth |
On continue le marathon que sont les remises de prix en ce moment avec les BAFTA, British Academy of Film and Television Art, sorte d'équivalent britannique des Oscars. Natalie Portman continue sur sa lancée et remporte l'award de la meilleure actrice pour son rôle dans le très acclamé Black Swan. Bouclera-t-elle ce grand chelem par son tout premier Oscar le 27 février prochain, comme une certaine Marion Cotillard avant elle ? Seul l'avenir nous le dira. Le Discours d'un Roi repart quant à lui auréolé de 7 prix dont meilleur acteur pour Colin Firth, meilleure second rôle féminin pour Helena Bonham Carter, meilleur second rôle masculin pour Geoffrey Rush & meilleure bande originale pour Alexandre Desplat (cocorico, un frenchy). Une belle consécration !
Sur le tapis rouge, le mauvais temps londonien n'a pas empêché les stars de se mettre sur leur 31. On notera Emma Watson, romantique en Valentino, Emma Stone, colorée en Lanvin, la jeune Hailee Steinfeld sérieuse en Miu Miu, Noomi Rapace (trilogie Millenium) en Givenchy et Amy Adams, brillante en fourreau Eli Saab. Ma chouchou, Natalie Dormer, inoubliable Anne Boleyn, était venue représenter la série The Tudors. (en robe rouge, dans le montage ci-dessous).
L'un des moments forts de la soirée a été la remise du prix "de la meilleure contribution britannique au cinéma" à l'ensemble de la saga Harry Potter. Pour l'occasion, Stephen Fry s'est fendu d'un très beau discours de présentation, que je vous laisse ci-après en V.O, pour pouvoir l'apprécier à sa juste valeur :
